The Parisian building heritage - Initial selection for thermal rehabilitation

The Parisian building heritage - Initial selection for thermal rehabilitation
Almost all of the Parisian housing stock was built before the first thermal regulations came into force. Improving the thermal performance of Parisian housing is therefore a major issue at an economic level to reduce the energy bills of Parisian households, at an ecological level in order to reduce greenhouse gases emissions and finally at a social level to improve the comfort of homes and to fight against fuel poverty.
Paris City Council, the National Agency for Housing Improvement (Anah) and their partners have launched a scheme, “Eco-Rénovons Paris”,  aimed at improving the energy performance of over 1, 000 private residential buildings by 2020.
Apur has aided in the preparation of this plan by gathering  information enabling buildings the most likely to be in need of rehabilitation work to be detected and by supplying these elements to the City of Paris operators in charge of putting the scheme into action. The work done followed the study carried out on the analysis of the thermal performance of Parisian residential buildings by  Apur in 2011.
