The Night of Solidarity is an operation that counts the number of homeless people in a particular area on a given night. The seventh Night of Solidarity in Paris took place during the night of the 25th to 26th January 2024 mobilising over 2,000 volunteers and professionals of the social fields.

On the same night, the Greater Paris - Grand Paris Metropolis - coordinated their third Night of Solidarity with nearly 2,000 volunteers and 120 partner non-profit associations, in the 32 volunteer municipal Communes: Alfortville, Asnières-sur-Seine, Athis-Mons, Aubervilliers, Bobigny, Bondy, Boulogne-Billancourt, Choisy-le-Roi, Clichy-sous-Bois, Colombes, Courbevoie, Gagny, Issy-les-Moulineaux, La Courneuve, Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, Le Pré-Saint-Gervais, Livry-Gargan, Nanterre, Pantin, Pierrefitte-sur-Seine, Romainville, Rosny-sous-Bois, Rueil-Malmaison, Saint-Denis, Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, Sevran, Sèvres, Tremblay-en-France, Ville d'Avray, Villejuif, Villeneuve-la-Garenne and Villetaneuse.

Apur assists the City of Paris, Grand Paris Metropolis and the volunteer municipalities to prepare and implement the operation and analyses the results.
3,492 people with no accommodation solution were met in Paris during the night of 25th to 26th January 2024. This represents an increase of +16% compared with the previous Night of Solidarity on 26th January 2023 (+477 people).

785 people were met on the same night in the 32 volunteer municipal Communes of Grand Paris Metropolis

  • Two Communes counted more than a hundred homeless people: Saint-Denis and Aubervilliers.
  • In Bobigny, 61 people were counted, compared with 229 in January 2023. The number of homeless people dropped significantly due to the absence of an encampment of 150 people met on the previous Night of Solidarity.
  • In nine Communes, between 20 to 50 homeless people were counted: La Courneuve (49 homeless people, Pantin (44), Courbevoie (28), Nanterre (26), Athis-Mons (21), Choisy-le-Roi (21), Sevran (21), Boulogne-Billancourt (20), Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine (20).
  • In ten Communes, between 10 to 20 homeless people were counted: Colombes (19), Bondy (16), Clichy-sous-Bois (15), Villejuif (14), Issy-les-Moulineaux (13), Asnières-sur-Seine (11), Rosny-sous-Bois (11), Alfortville (10) and Rueil-Malmaison (10). 
  • In ten Communes, fewer than 10 homeless people were counted: Tremblay-en-France (8), Gagny (6), Sèvres (6), Livry-Gargan (5), Pierrefitte-sur-Seine (5), Le Kremlin-Bicêtre (4), Villeneuve-la-Garenne (3), Villetaneuse (3), Le-Pré-Saint-Gervais (1) and Ville-d’Avray (1). No homeless people were met in Romainville.
