Urban study of the RN3 – Canal de l'Ourcq area
This study explores the possible options which could contribute to a sustainable project for the territory covered by the RN8 road and the Canal de l'Ourcq. The restructuring of this large area, the A3/A86 interchange junction, is a major challenge.
In 2008, as part of its partnership programme, Apur carried out studies on “The main radial roads in and out of Paris” and “Building around the Canal de l'Ourcq”. These made it  possible to strengthen the link with the General Council of Seine Saint-Denis and to broaden knowledge about the territory.
The RN3 - Canal de l'Ourcq sector from Pantin to Vaujours, figures in the 2008 SDRIF and the Grand Paris projects as an area of great potential. The Seine Saint-Denis department marked it down as strategic territory in its “Agenda 21”. They would like it to become an asset at a metropolitan level and to accompany its development.
In this context, from as early as 2009, the General Council of Seine Saint-Denis and Apur have worked on organising a mission to help draw up a sustainable project for the territory in close association with the communes effected.
In defining this assistance mission it was necessary to hold numerous meetings between the 93 General Council - CG 93 - and Apur. These served to clarify the territories of the study and the directions that the work should take.
