Office space in Paris and Greater Paris - Métropole du Grand Paris -
Following on from the study carried out in 2014, this study of the survey and the dynamics at play in the Parisian and metropolitan office stock presents an analysis which is geographically wider. It makes it possible, for the first time, to make an inventory of office buildings in the whole of the Métropole du Grand Paris (MGP). Around 8,000  buildings of over 1,000 m2 were counted in MGP a large part of which are concentrated in the main business and office districts.
So far as offices within Paris proper go, the updated data makes it possible to calculate a new potential for change within the tertiary real estate stock. To this day, a surface area of 2.7 million m2 has been established, that is 16% of the overall stock. On the environmental level, the study also identifies buildings covered by an environmental certification: over 10% of the Parisian stock.
The survey of Parisian office space premises of over 1,000 m2  has made it possible to estimate the total surface area of offices, established at 18 million m2,  and for their characteristics to be known (time of construction, type of ownership…), and also to locate vacant office buildings that are becoming obsolete.
This work was carried out thanks to the data base being updated in the context of a contract established with the specialist consultancy office HBS Research which has already been selected to carry out the study on the 2014 period.
