Hotel accommodation in the metropolis continues to expand, while at the same time the offer is transforming and projects underway clearly indicate the course that will be followed over the next few years.
Métropole du Grand Paris is one of the world leaders in hotel accommodation. 69% of the metropolitan offer is concentrated within Paris proper with the remaining 51% spread throughout the region. Developing hotel accommodation has been encouraged over the past 20 years and has undergone major transformations, notably, by the offer moving upmarket.
The Grand Paris Express and Olympic Games are accelerators for this growth, with 150 new hotels and almost 20,000 more rooms planned in the metropolis by 2024. The boom in the Parisian accommodation offer is mainly the result of the uses of buildings being transformed and projects show how keen investors are on this product.
